Moving forward?

Maybe sometimes our progress in life is clear -  we get promotion, we move house, we have children.  Our organisation is growing, our business is flourishing, our leadership is working well.

Sometimes there are key milestones which mark our progress, achievements.  New job, new home, new relationships. Sometimes progress is more subtle - one step leads to another over a period of time. We may even set out on a path not quite clear of the destination.

Sometimes we are in the zone, on fire, achieving! Sometimes we are worried, frustrated and stuck.

Whether or not you have clear goals, objectives, aspirations, intentions of things you want to achieve. Stop and think about your life in the next 6 months.  What do you really want?  THINK about it.  What do you REALLY want?

If helpful, choose 2 of some of the key aspects in life.

Finances, Relationships, Career, Leisure, Health - are you moving forward in the way you wish?  What do you really want? Are you moving forward?

What is the practical next step?   What would help?

How much do you want to move forward?  Get clear, take action.  In a week's time, how about diarising a note to yourself to review the question "Have I moved forward"?

Clarity, Insight and Action

Clarity - when we get clear, really clear  - things get easier?

Insight - we all need "ah ha" moments?   We need to "see" our perspectives, conclusions and then sometimes reframe things as necessary? 

Action - ideas, dreams, change are all important, we need  to make them a reality?  We do that by taking action?

One action - Write down the first three steps you would take and by when?

So coach yourself - get clear and take action.

Maximise your leadership time and talents.  Make this a priority, keep going when it gets tough. You deserve the satisfaction of a successful outcome!

Fear needs action....

 

What do you think?

You can change more than you might imagine. Give yourself permission to try something out, try something new, just do the thing you've been meaning to do for ages - something small, switch from worry to tangible steps ......

"Wish I'd done it before"  "I cant believe it took me so long"   "If only I'd done something about it..... "  "What a waste of my time/life"      Much better to know you've given it your best shot, do you reckon?

If you feel your feet are stuck in treacle in a certain area of your job or life, get unstuck - take one small action and then keep going!

Fear needs action, take some and feel better soon.

PS - dont overthink it, that can keep you in treacle!!

What if?

What if ...... it was easier than I thought

What if ........ in one conversation it was better and in two it was resolved

What if ..... I felt more confident

What if ...... I felt less stressed

What if ..... I was doing things the way I felt I was born to do them

What if ...... work became easier

What if ..... people around me were inspired and noticed a difference in me

What if ......... those things I wanted to get around to doing, I was achieving regularily

What if ......... things that were once hard to say,  become "comfortable" and actually releasing

What if  ....... I  could see I was on a path to fulfillment and satisfaction 

If it was easier, quicker more possible than you thought - would you  be taking action?

I know I can put obstacles in my way, stop progress, procrastinate on things I really want in life as sometimes my eyes are on the obstacles, the difficulties - not the potential and not always the possibilities! 

Then when its done or achieved - I think why didn't I do that earlier?  A client said to me the other week I'm learning to "reduce the dither time"

So - What is your What if  ? - you do know what to do ....... ( to reduce the dither time!!)
