So who do you need to be?

Yes - we often focus on intentions, goals, outcomes - all important stuff!

And - who do you need to be to achieve what you're aiming for?

That's the question I pose for your reflection and encouragement.....so authentically - who do you need to be?

To make it easy - choose 3 words, that way this question gets answered, you get some clarity

We can focus on doing and sometimes it's good to switch the focus to who we are being? You'll know what is right for you.

Future or fear?

Fear stops us from doing so much, the tape in our head...."this could be dangerous, uncomfortable, difficult, may not work, cause me even more stress, I don't have time, it wont work anyway, I've tried it before, what's the point, they wont like me, I'll look stupid, it wont happen to me, I have responsibilites"?

Familiar messages that might play in your head?

Sometimes stopping and thinking for a few short moments about what we want and not letting fear stand before us ( looming TALL!) is a good idea.

What do you want your future to look like?

What today do you want to be part of your future? 

Where is fear getting in the way?  When was the last time you went ahead took courage in your hands and did something you were fearful of and it had a good result! 

Remind yourself today of all the skills you have, of everything you are good at. 

Remind yourself today of achievements you are proud of.

Remind yourself of  the future you want.

When we get clear about what we want, it's the first step on the path to making it happen.

Ready to make it count?

So much to do, so many priorities.

What is "it"? - are you willing to put energy in?

Sometimes it doesn't take as much effort or time as we think - sometimes "it" is even a quick task or conversation with huge pay back. Many times I've spent longer worrying, dreading, procrastinating than the task or conversation took me ........   "wish I'd done that weeks, months, years ago" has gone through my mind more than once!!  I hear it too with clients.

So this week, month, coming year - are you ready to make it count?

Job done!

Sometimes  - it's about pushing through, working hard, using your energy well ...... when one of my client's got one job offer recently on a Thursday and then another the following Monday - it was all worth it for them.

I was inspired as I watched them keep going, be courageous in the tough times, work hard, focus when so much was going on - job done - they did what they started out to do.

Hope, Goal or Intention?

Hope, Goal or Intention - that's the question?

The "thing" you're really grappling with to solve  - or the "thing" you would just really love but can't see a way - are you serious about it?  How much do you want to achieve the dream or solution.  So on a scale of 1 to 10, (10 being high!) - where are you on the scale? 

  • Do you just hope it will go away or hope it will happen?
  • Do you have a clear goal in sight or are you not quite certain, what the goal is?
  • How high is your intention, how deep your determination?

Your situation may affect this, are you "bogged down", tired, stressed, fed up or are you highly motivated, going for it, full of strength and clear you're going to get there?

Whatever your situation - in the next 24 hours, tell someone what you've just been thinking about - and also do one other thing, take a simple step towards it. If you do, you'll be on your way.
